Hoe een licentie overbrengen

This article can be helpful when you want to transfer a Print&Share license from one PC to another PC within your organisation. This might be the case if your company bought a new PC for you.


There are two options to transfer a license:

  1. Revoke the license
  2. Contact Winking (via Ricoh)

1. Revoke the license

Revoking is the process of making an existing license available again, releasing an existing activation.

In most cases, you can revoke a license yourself. To see if you are able to revoke you can see the checklist:

Checklist:

  • You can access the old and the new PC
  • Print&Share is still available on the old PC
  • Internet connection available on both PCs.

Notes:

  • If you revoke an activation from an old PC, you can use the same reference code again on the new PC by activating the new PC.

  • If you try to activate Print&Share again on a PC where Print&Share was already revoked, it will not work. (Contact Winking (via Ricoh) in this case)

Steps to execute:

  1. On the old PC, which is currently activated:
    1. Go to the [General Configuration] of Print&Share
    2. Go to the [Activation] tab
    3. Select option [Reference code] in the list and write down your current Reference code
    4. Select option [Activation code]
    5. Click the button [Revoke]
    6. Confirm in the dialog that you want to Revoke and continue
    7. Print&Share should not be activated anymore now (this can take a few seconds, depending on your internet connection)
  2. On the new PC, where Print&Share has never been activated before:
    1. Go to the [General Configuration] of Print&Share
    2. Go to the [Activation] tab
    3. Select option [Reference code] in the list and fill in the Reference code that you had written in previous steps.
    4. Click the [Register] button
    5. Click the [Check for an activation code online] button
    6. Print&Share should be activated now (this can take a few seconds, depending on your internet connection)

2. Contact Winking (via Ricoh)

In some cases it is possible that you can't revoke your own license. This could be because your PC is broken or damaged, there was a pc/server/hard disk crash or you try to activate again on a pc where Print&Share was revoked already.

Checklist:

  • You can't revoke (no access to the old PC)
  • Trying to activate an already revoked PC
  • No internet connection to activate

Steps to execute:

Contact Winking via your Ricoh contact via email to reset your activation and provide as much details as possible. e.g.:

  • Name of crashed PC
  • Registered username
  • Company name
  • Your Reference code and/or Software key
